Cheddar & Herb Biscuits

These buttery, savory biscuits inspired by The Gracious Wife are easy to prepare and perfectly complement the bird that’s been roasting for five hours.

½ C Face Rock Creamery Peppercorn Harvest Cheddar, shredded
2 C all-purpose flour
1 T sugar
2 t baking soda
¾ t salt
½ t ground black pepper
4 T butter – frozen, grated
¼ C fresh chopped chives
1 C buttermilk
½ C sour cream

1.    Preheat oven to 450 degrees F. Line baking sheet with parchment paper
2.    In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and pepper
3.    Mix in grated butter
4.    Add shredded Face Rock Creamery Peppercorn Harvest cheddar and chives
5.    Stir in buttermilk and sour cream until just combined
6.    Drop dough in ¼ C rounds onto baking sheet.
7.    Bake at 450 for 12-15 minutes, or until slightly browned

Serve warm
Yield: 14 2-3” biscuits
