A bold and delicious way to put our Cheddar End Cuts to work! This Extra Aged mac and cheese is packed with deep, sharp flavor and a perfectly creamy texture. Suggestions: Add a 6oz block of Vampire Slayer, Smokey, or Monterey Jack for an extra kick of flavor and melty goodness.
8oz elbow macaroni
1 (12oz can) Evaporated Milk
1c Face Rock Creamery Extra Aged White Cheddar End Cut
2 Tbsp butter
Salt & pepper to taste
Cook Pasta: Boil macaroni in salted water until al dente.
Start Sauce: Melt butter in a saucepan. Whisk in flour (if using) and cook for 1–2 minutes.
Add Milk: Slowly whisk in evaporated milk. Heat on medium, stirring until warm and slightly thickened.
Melt Cheese: Lower heat. Stir in white cheddar and additional cheese, a bit at a time, until smooth.
Season: Add salt, pepper, and optional spices to taste.
Combine: Add pasta to sauce and stir well. Serve hot!
