Crisp apples, melty cheddar, and a warm crunchy tortilla? The answer is always yes! Quesadillas made with Face Rock Aged Cheddar and thinly sliced apples are a fantastic snack for kids and adults alike. Want to add a little spice? Add chutney or a pepper jelly into the mix. MMMMMM!!
Our aged cheddar melts sooo well! We love the combination of crisp sweet apples and our classic cheddar sandwiched between toasty tortillas. This quick quesadilla comes together in no time! Use street taco size tortillas to make the perfect snack size, or a larger tortilla for a bigger bite.
Wash apple and slice into thin rounds. Remove the core with a small cutter or knife. Cut again into a half circle.
Warm a skillet or frying pan to medium high heat.
Place tortillas in the pan, add a 1/4 cup of shreds to each, add several apple slices, and top with another 1/4 cup of shreds. Place a second tortilla on each.
Cook until the bottom tortilla is lightly brown and cheese is starting to melt. Carefully flip and cook the remaining side until golden.
Plate, cut into fourths and serve with fresh fruit.
