In Your Face Spicy Curd Stuffed Dates
12 pitted dates
6-12 slices of bacon, cut in half lengthwise (we opted to use just the less fatty half of the bacon slice, so we needed more. If you don’t have a preference, use both halves!)
In Your Face Cheddar Curds
Hot Honey Sauce (optional)
If you aren’t using pitted dates, slit the date lengthwise and remove the pit.
Optional – par cook your bacon in the microwave for two minutes. This helps ensure crispy bacon!
Stuff a curd into each date. Break apart the curd if it’s too big. Squeeze the sides together gently to close.
Wrap each stuffed date with a slice of bacon and secure the bundle with a toothpick.
Arrange the wrapped dates on a rimmed baking sheet lined with foil for easy clean up. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the bacon is crisped to your liking. If you don’t par cook your bacon, allow for several more minutes of cooking time.
Place the dates on a paper towel to drain, and let stand for several minutes before serving. Drizzle with hot pepper-infused “hot honey” for even more heat!
