Stuff a fresh sourdough bread with our flavor-packed In Your Face or Vampire Slayer, butter, green onion and bacon for an ooey, gooey game day treat! This pull apart bread comes together quickly. Everything can be prepped ahead of time and pulled together right before serving.
1 large loaf or Sourdough bread
1/2 cup butter, melted
3/4 cup sliced green onion
1 lb bacon, cooked and chopped
2 Cups Face Rock In Your Face, or Vampire Slayer Cheddar cheese, shredded
2 Cups Face Rock Monterey Jack cheese, shredded
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place a piece of parchment paper on a cooking sheet.
Blend the Cheddar and Monterey Jack and set aside.
Cut a 1-inch grid into the top of the bread, keeping the bottom of the bread intact. Place the bread on the cooking sheet.
Stir together the melted butter and green onion.
Spoon the butter mixture into all the bread seams, separating the bread as you go to make sure the butter saturates the bread. Cover the top of the bread with foil and bake for 10 minutes.
Remove bread from the oven, and turn up the temperature to 425 degrees.
Remove the foil, and press all the cheese down into all the grid openings. Press bacon into the grid evenly. Return the bread to the oven with no cover and bake until cheese is bubbling and light brown, about 15 minutes.
Serve warm with a small knife if needed to cut through bottom crust.
