Pretzel Burger with Onion & Chive Cheddar

Directions

Preparing the Burger Patties:

1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef your choice of seasoning. Mix gently until the seasonings are evenly distributed.

2. Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape them into patties.

3. Preheat your grill or skillet to medium-high heat.

4. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.

Caramelizing the Onions:

1. Slice the onion thinly.

2. Heat a tablespoon of oil in a skillet over medium heat.

3. Add the sliced onions and cook, stirring occasionally, until they are golden brown and caramelized, about 15-20 minutes. Set aside.

Assembling the Burger:

1. Slice the pretzel buns in half and toast them lightly on the grill or in a skillet.

2. Place a slice of onion & chive cheddar cheese on each burger patty and let it melt slightly.

3. Spread chipotle sauce or your favorite sauce on the bottom half of each pretzel bun.

4. Layer with lettuce, tomato slices, the burger patty with melted cheese, caramelized onions, and pickles if using.

5. Top with the other half of the pretzel bun.
