Main Dish
Quiche is a wonderful dish to bring to the table any time of
day. It’s a one-bowl creation that is much easier to pull together than most
people realize. We certainly enjoy this version, which we created using our
whole cheddar curds for an extra melty cheesy hit (not to mention one less prep
step!) Any of our curd flavors (Plain, In Your Face, or Vampire Slayer) will
work great in this easy recipe.
1 Pie Crust (use your favorite homemade, or purchase an all-butter pre-made crust)
5 pieces bacon, cooked and crumbled plus 2 whole cooked slices for garnish
½ cup onion slices
1 8 oz tub Face Rock Cheddar curds
4 eggs
1 cup half and half
½ T Salt
½ t pepper
Heat oven to 350° F.
Place pie crust in 9-inch pie plate.
In a mixing bowl, beat eggs until well incorporated.
Stir in half-and-half, salt, pepper, curds, crumbled bacon, and onion slices.
Pour egg mixture into crust and top with two whole pieces of bacon.
Bake 40 to 50 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean.
Let stand 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
