4 cups Flour
½ tsp Baking Soda
2 tbs Baking Powder
2 tsp Salt
6oz Face Rock Onion & Chive Cheddar
12 tbs Cold Butter
2 cups Buttermilk
Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Dry Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
Cut in Butter: Add the cold, cubed butter to the flour mixture. Use a pastry cutter or your fingers to blend the butter into the flour until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Add Cheese: Shred and mix in the Onion & Chive Cheddar until evenly distributed.
Mix in Buttermilk: Pour in the buttermilk and stir until the dough just comes together. Be careful not to overmix.
Shape Biscuits: Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and gently knead it a few times. Pat the dough into a rectangle about 1 inch thick. Use a biscuit cutter to cut out biscuits and place them on the prepared baking sheet. Gather any scraps, reform, and cut more biscuits until all the dough is used.
Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the biscuits are golden brown on top.
Cool: Remove from the oven and let the biscuits cool on a wire rack for a few minutes before serving.
